The majors of Chern Institute of Mathematics include Pure Mathematics, Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics, Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. The research directions include Non-linear Analysis, Symplectic Geometry, Differential Geometry, Operator Algebra, Cryptography, Coding Theory, Information Theory, Mathematical Physics and Non-linear Problems in Theoretical Physics. The Institute has a high-level team of teachers with international standards. At present, there are more than 10 graduate tutors, including Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, talents of the Trans-century Training Programs of the Ministry of Education, and talents of the New Century Program of the Ministry of Education.
