Dr. Haibing Zhou, Department of Mathematics 92', and Ms. Ying Hou, College of Foreign Languages 92' donated 100 million RMB to Nankai University on Oct. 16, 2016. Half of the donation aided the construction of Haibing Center, a building completed in 2019 for both presenting the history as well as culture of Nankai University, and promoting communication of education, science, technology, and culture.

The remaining was used to establish Zhide Foundation, by which Zhide Lecture is sponsored and named after. The foundation supports student scholarship, faculty recruitment, and academic communication in School of Mathematical Sciences, School of Finance, College of Foreign Languages, Chern Institute of Mathematics and Nankai Institute of International Economics.
