Scientists successfully prove the Peres Conjecture for the minimal Kochen-Specker set

According to the news on June 11, Dr. Zhen-Peng Xu and Prof. Otfried Gühne from Universität Siegen, Germany, and Prof. Jing-Ling Chen from Nankai University, have successfully proved the Peres Conjecture for the minimal Kochen-Specker set. A paper on the research titled "Proof of the Peres Conjecture for Contextuality" was published online in the international authoritative academic journal Physical Review Letters in June 2020.


Dr. Zhen-Peng Xu, the first author of the paper, was previously a Ph.D. student at the Theoretical Physics Division of Chern Institute of Mathematics, Nankai University in 2013-2018, currently a postdoc supported by the Humboldt Foundation, and has published three papers in Physical Review Letters. Jing-Ling Chen, a professor at the Chern Institute of Mathematics, Nankai University, has published seven papers in Physical Review Letters and one in Nature Communications
