In order to comply with the municipality's and NKU's requirements on fire safety management and fire prevention and control, ensure the implementation of fire safety measures, popularize fire safety knowledge among teachers, students and property management staff, meanwhile enhance their self-rescue ability when faced with the fire and emergencies, on January 13, the Chern Institute of Mathematics (CIM) invited Mr. Jian Xu, a certified safety engineer and expert from the Security Technical Committee of JUMBO CHAINS Real Estate Management Group, to give a fire safety lecture at CIM.

Mr. Xu introduced in detail the basic knowledge regarding to the fire and related prevention measures combined with typical cases, as well as how to use the firefighting facilities, how to react correctly in a fire and escape from it. Moreover, he specifically introduced specialized fire safety measures according to the environmental characteristics of university campuses. During the lecture, Mr. Xu also provided detailed explanation to questions raised by the audiences.

Vice Director of CIM Aifang Chen expressed appreciation for the support provided by JUMBO CHAINS Real Estate Management Group, emphasized the importance of fire safety, pointed out the necessity of enhancing the awareness of fire prevention and mastering basic skills for firefighting and self-rescue, and shared practical measures based on her own life experience.

The lecture has successfully made the audiences more aware of the importance of fire safety and protection against emergencies by bearing safety essentials in mind. In the future the Institute will continue to organize more trainings and drills in order to let the fire safety awareness take a deeper root in the heart of every teacher, student and staff member of CIM.
