On May 11-14, Tianjin Workshop on Dynamical Systems and Nonlinear Analysis was held at Shiing-Shen Building, Nankai University. The workshop gathered more than 130 attendees from all over the country, including Beijing, Chengdu, Hefei, Jinan, Nanjing, Xiamen, Shanghai, Suzhou, Tianjin and Wuhan.

A total of 24 lectures were delivered during the workshop on the recent advances in dynamical systems, index theory for Hamiltonian systems, celestial mechanics, variational methods, differential equations and related fields. The Academic Committee was composed of Academician Yiming Long and Prof. Jiangong You from Nankai University. The Organizing Committee was composed of Prof. Huagui Duan, Duanzhi Zhang, Qi Zhou, Chaofeng Zhu and Guowei Yu from Nankai University, Prof. Xijun Hu from Shandong University, and Prof. Shanzhong Sun from Capital Normal University.

Prof. Jiangong You, as the host of the opening ceremony, introduced the themes of the workshop and the progress of the National Key R&D Program of China “The Theory of Hamiltonian Systems and its applications”. Academician Yiming Long introduced the history of the workshop, expressed appreciation to the support of all the attendees and the hard work of the members of the Organizing Committee, and concluded by wishing everyone greater success in scientific research.

The workshop enhanced communication among scholars in the field of dynamical systems and nonlinear analysis, provided a great opportunity for young teachers and scholars to learn and share their ideas, and promoted cooperation through discussions on the latest research achievements in related fields.
