On October 18-21, 2024, the Workshop on the Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence and Optimization was held in Shiing-Shen Building. Directors of the Academic Committee were Prof. Liqun Qi from Hangzhou Dianzi University and Prof. Yuhong Dai from the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The Workshop was organized mainly by Prof. Qingzhi Yang and Prof. Chunlin Wu from Nankai University. With more than 50 scholars coming to attend the Workshop from Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Jiangxi, a total of 21 lectures were delivered on the recent advances of dual quaternions, machine learning, tensor decomposition, tensor eigenvalues, hypergraphs, optimization in statistics and their applications.

The Workshop provided a great platform for experts and scholars to share their work results and ideas. It is conducive to the future development of related research fields in China.
