
The Workshop on New Advances in Celestial Mechanics and Related Areas was held at the Chern Institute of Mathematics, Nankai University from June 2 to 6, 2025. The Workshop Academic Committee comprises Professor Alain Chenciner (Paris Observatory), Academician Yiming Long (Nankai University), Professor Richard Moeckel (University of Minnesota), Professor Richard Montgomery (University of California-Santa Cruz), Professor Susanna Terracini (University of Turin) and Professor Zhihong Xia (Northwestern University/Great Bay University). The Workshop Organizing Committee comprises Professor Xijun Hu (Shandong University), Professor Shanzhong Sun (Capital Normal University) and Professor Guowei Yu (Nankai University). Attracting over 90 scholars from the United States, France, Italy, Spain and China, the workshop also served as one of the celebratory events marking the 40th anniversary of the Chern Institute of Mathematics.
A total of 25 academic talks were delivered at the workshop by invited speakers, focusing on the latest advancements in the global research fields of celestial mechanics. The workshop also featured two posters sessions, offering an excellent platform for postdoctoral researchers and PhD students to showcase their latest work. Providing a great opportunity for experts and scholars to exchange ideas and insights, the workshop further promoted the development of relevant research fields.
